"This atlas provides high quality images of the brain and adjacent structures in MR, CT, and neonatal ultrasound. The images are clearly labeled with a thorough index to allow for cross referencing between modalities. It is helpful to have atlases for finer techniques, such as the MR evaluation of Liliequist's membrane and temporal bone CT. However, the inclusion of higher-end imaging such as fMRI, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), and CT perfusion makes for a complete neuroanatomy atlas that will be useful for a long time.

Download Sample Chapters

Preview these ground-breaking atlases with downloadable samples of Imaging Anatomy of the Human Brain and Imaging Anatomy of the Human Spine. These downloads contain selected images from chapters on the brain, cerebellum, cranial nerves, and regional intracranial anatomy and orbits, as well as high quality images that expertly visualize the human spine and adjacent structures.

Bonus Content: Watch Videos

Watch high-resolution videos available online only and generated from hundreds of images used to illustrate cranial anatomy in Imaging Anatomy of the Human Brain.

Sagittal T2 of the Brain

This movie clip is a loop generated from 340 images from a 3D High Resolution T2 weighted MRI sequence of the subject used in Chapter 3 of Imaging Anatomy of the Human Brain.

T2 Axial Cranial Nerves

This video clip was obtained using a high resolution T2 weighted 3D sequence called DRIVE. This video was created from 380 images. The T2 DRIVE sequence is very useful to visualize the cranial nerves as in this case. These images were used to illustrate various cranial nerves in Chapter 6 of Imaging Anatomy of the Human Brain.
